Bayelsa: Diri swears-in 15 permanent secretaries.

Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has sworn-in 15 new Permanent Secretaries into the State public Service with a call for more commitment to the project Bayelsa.

Those sworn-in were, Mr. Douglas Samson Tariworio, Ikoko Ifiemi Leonardson, Cletus Ekpebide, Wodu Ebimowei, Ugo Ebikibina, Grace Tarinabo Alagoa and Yela Alagoa Joseph.

Others were, Mr Okene Simon-Peter, Agala Douglas Damini,Kurobo Clinton Uncle, Opokuma Alaowei, Yinfaowei  Emmanuel Oyin, Olomiete Ayeo, Felix Ebikabowei Asimgba and Borisei Ifiemeya Anthony.

Performing the swearing in ceremony at the Exco chambers of government house, Yenagoa, Governor Diri implored them to foster peace and unity in their various ministries.

He them to collaboration with the Prosperity Administration to make positive impact in their various ministries

The government, congratulated the newly sworn in permanent secretatries for the well-deserved appointment and charged them to bring their wealth of experiences to bear in the discharge of their duties.

Describing motivation as a driving force for greater productivity, the governor advised them to work hand in glove with the commissioners in their various ministries to drive the laudable policies and programmes of government.

He said the appointment and swearing of the new permanent Secretaries became imperative following the retirement of the previous permanent secretaries.

The number one citizen, described their appointments as square peg in square hole as they have served the State diligently in various capacity over the years.

He appreciated the head of Service and the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission for their painstaking efforts in the selection process, saying their was less government involvement in the selection and appointment process.

The Governor urged them to bring in social transformation into the state considering the economic challenges through quality leadership and not to intimidate their junior colleagues.
