Special Assistant on New Media to Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. John Domkpee has described Governor Douye Diri as “a solution-driven leader who is miraculously positioned to lead the state.”
He noted that the Governor has the interest of Bayelsans at heart, hence his persistent efforts to make life better for them.
Domkpee, who made the remark in relation to Wednesday’s Governor Diri’s unveiling of over 100 taxis and 6 buses, said the move was an indication that Diri listens to the yearnings of the people and proffers solutions when it matters most.
According to him “The fuel subsidy removal by the federal government has been having a heavy toll on commuters, and these vehicles will greatly cushion the effect of the current harsh economy.
“There will be more vehicles on the road charging affordable transport fares.
“The vehicles will be driven by Bayelsans, who will be earning reasonable income as well.
“One main function of governance is to provide solutions amidst challenges and that is exactly what Governor Diri is doing,” he said.
While revealing that the state government has embarked on erosion control projects in communities like Odi and Obogoro, Domkpee also stated that thousands of business owners are getting grants to improve their small-scale business while several Bayelsans are being trained in various useful vocations.
“We need to thank God for blessing us with such a simple, level-headed and unbiased chief executive who does not discriminate in his style of governance.
“His amazing performance is infuriating the opposition so much because they know Bayelsans are loving the Miracle Governor more and equally want him back for a second term,” he said.
