BAYELSA NON-INDIGENES Women Wing honours chief Cocodia

Non-Indigenes Women Wing, Bayelsa State chapter, has presented am award of excellence to the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters, High Chief Collins Cocodia. 

The body also presented its newly inaugurated state executive to the governor’s side, with Honourable Faith Hilary, as central women leader and Mrs Ijeoma Ikedieze, as secretary.

Others are, Mrs Amina Bassy, financial secretary, Mrs Folashade Binuyo, Treasure, Mrs Helen Yakubu, assistant secretary and Mrs Gift Okorotie, publicity secretary.

While Mrs Esther Ekeogu, public relations officer, Mrs Esosa Jonson, organising secretary, Mrs Abiola Taiwo, welfare 1, Mrs Sarah Ombe, welfare2 and Evangelist Jolly Michael as prayer coordinator.

The award was given to him at the formal inauguration ceremony of the aforementioned body, in Yenagoa on Sunday.

Receiving the award, Chief Cocodia, expressed gratitude to the Non Indigenes for their contributions towards the socioeconomic development of the state as well as their peaceful coexistence with Bayelsans.

He also applauded the Central Woman Leader of the Non-Indigenes, Hon. Faith Hilary, for always mobilising support for the Prosperity Government, and urged not to relent, especially, ahead of the reelection of the Governor Douye Diri, come November 11.

In remark, State central Woman Leader of the Non-Indigenes, Hon. Faith Hilary, who appreciated the prosperity government for creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state, promised to mobilize all the non indigene women for the second coming of Senator Douye Diri.

Her words “We are the non indigene women wing Bayelsa state. We are operating under the leadership of the special adviser to the governor on non indigene matters hon Onuma Johnson.”

Honourable Hilary, said the essence of the association, is to foster unity amongst the non-indigenes and also cater for children especially the girl-child. 

The central women leader of the non-indigenes, who lauded Governor Diri for the laudable projects and for creating the enabling environment for the non-indigenes to co-exist promised to galvanize all non-indigenes for the re-election of Governor Diri and his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

Also at the event was the wife of the State Governor, Mrs Gloria, represented by the wife of the majority leader of the State House of Assembly, Mrs Bubuo Obolo, Special Adviser to the Governor on Non indigene Affairs, Mazi Onuma Johnson, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on General duties Hon. Tari Igolukumo, and other top government functionaries among others.
