… as CSOs calls on IGP to withdraw his men immediately
At least one policeman and a Civil Defence personnel were last night arrested along with armed youths at a check point in Otakeme community, Ogbia Local Government Area while on their way to Opu-Nembe.
The two security personnel who were believed to be on a special assignment to escort the cache of arms and ammunitions to invade Opu-Nembe are now at the Sector 2 Command of the JTF alongside the armed youths.
The armed youths were in two Hilux vans when they were arrested with guns.
This development suggests a lot of compromise by top police authorities.
Some members of the Civil Societies in Bayelsa State have called on the Acting Inspector-General of Police to immediately arrest the ugly situation in Opu-Nembe and must absolve himself from the armed invasion.
They have called on IGP to order immediate withdrawal of police men in the community because of many identified thugs illegally wearing police uniforms.
Some of the identified boys include Ebieteli Degi, Theophilus Iruo and Timi Amada who are already terrorizing the community in their fake police uniform.
The withdrawal of policemen will give room for calm to return and prevent the suspected thugs from unleashing mayhem on the community.
