Traditional Rulers and Chiefs in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area have passed a vote of confidence on the Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri for his developmental projects to the people of the area.
The traditional leaders who made the submission today when they converged at the site of the ongoing Angiama-Oporoma link bridge, appreciated the governor for the ongoing construction of Yenagoa-Oporoma-Ukubie road.
They also prayed that God should grant the governor the wisdom and courage to continue to do more laudable projects in the LGA and state at large.
Paramount Ruler of Enewari community, HRH Job Darius, who spoke on behalf of other traditional rulers and chiefs passed a vote of confidence on the governor for his commitment to the project.
While they expressed their happiness with the project, they applauded the governor for linking several rural communities by roads and bridges in the State.
Other Southern Ijaw key stakeholders at the brief gathering were the Senator representing Bayelsa Central Senatorial District, Dr Konbowei Benson, former Chief of Staff, Government House, Rt. Hon. Talford Ongolo, Special Adviser on Chieftaincy and Culture, Chief Douyi Douglas-Naingba, and Engr. Charles Ambaiowei.
