Bayelsa State Commissioner for Marine and Blue Economy, Dr. Faith Izibenua Zibs-Godwin, has congratulated Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on their Supreme Court victory.

In a statement, Izibenua Zibs-Godwin, described the triumph as a win for democracy, the people, and the rule of law. 

The commissioner noted that the Governor’s dedication to serving the people has been affirmed by the apex court in the country.

She expressed confidence that under the Prosperity Government, the state will continue to thrive and the lives of its citizens will improve significantly. 

Dr Izibenua Zibs-Godwin, prayed God to grant them wisdom to succeed and continue being a beacon of hope, unity and progress. 

This congratulatory message comes after the Supreme Court upheld the re-election of Governor Diri and Deputy Governor Ewhrudjakpo, dismissing the appeal by the opposition party.
